This week we are excited to donate to, and celebrate the work of The Loveland Foundation ! The Loveland Foundation brings opportunity and healing to communities of color, and especially to Black women and girls. Through fellowships, residency programs, listening tours, and more, ultimately they hope to contribute to both the empowerment and the liberation of the communities they serve. At InnerShift, we believe deeply in the power of dialogue and community---and diving into conversations that can feel messy and complicated. In a world where debates about the value of "Diversity, Equity, & Inclusion" can stir strong emotions, we strive to hold space for conversations that are powerful, messy, but ultimately productive. It’s in these moments of shared learning that growth truly happens. Last week, we had the privilege of hosting our Inclusive Excellence Leadership Program in-person cohorts, and tomorrow, we’re excited to connect with our virtual cohort. Each group brings their own perspectives, stories, and energy, making the conversations even more meaningful. We are endlessly grateful for the opportunity to learn in community and for the trust these leaders place in us as we navigate this vital work together. It’s been a busy week at InnerShift, but today we’re celebrating #GivingTuesday on a Friday by recognizing and donating to an organization doing important work in the community. In honor of Domestic Violence Awareness month, we are excited to donate to, and celebrate the work of the Alma Center! The Alma Center focuses on healing trauma to break cycles of violence and dysfunction, primarily working with men involved in the criminal justice system, especially those with a history of domestic violence. Their vision is to shift the system towards restorative, healing-focused approaches for preventing and addressing family violence. #CommunityIsACoreValue #Community #TeamInnerShift #GivingTuesday
