On March 11, 2025, at approximately 6:40 p.m., our Aviation Section assisted District I Street Crimes Unit in surveilling a vehicle involved in a narcotics transaction. When deputies initiated a traffic stop, the driver fled the scene. A second stop was attempted at a gas station near Nebraska Avenue and Bearss Avenue, where the vehicle initially came to a stop, but as deputies approached, the driver accelerated and fled again. With the Aviation Section providing surveillance, #teamHCSO never lost sight of the vehicle. The vehicle came to a stop at a dead end on 1st Avenue Northwest, and Nelson Alejandro Campo, 16, and Victor Reynaldo Paguada, 17, were taken into custody. “These arrests are a testament to the dedication of our deputies, who work tirelessly to keep drugs and criminals off our streets,” said Sheriff Chad Chronister. “HCSO will use every resource available to track you down and hold you accountable if you break the law.”

Livingston manipulated transactions and stole more than $7,000, using the victim’s funds for personal expenses, including payments to Carnival Cruises. "The actions of this individual are unacceptable and despicable. Preying on a hospice patient, someone who relies on others for care and support, is a heartless and disgraceful betrayal," said Sheriff Chad Chronister. "We are committed to protecting our most vulnerable residents. A six-month investigation, led by the #teamHCSO Major Violators Section in collaboration with the Florida Department of Law Enforcement (FDLE) and the Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) Orlando Office, has resulted in 33 arrests, dismantling a fentanyl and cocaine trafficking ring with ties to a network in Puerto Rico. Detectives seized enough fentanyl to potentially prevent 931,000 overdose deaths. "This wasn't just a few people selling drugs. This was a network, a business built on death, addiction, and illegal profit," said Sheriff Chad Chronister. "I couldn't be more proud of our #teamHCSO detectives, along with our partners at FDLE and the DEA, for their relentless dedication and hard work. This investigation was a huge win, not just for our team but for our entire community. On March 3, 2025, at 3:16 a.m., #teamHCSO responded to a 911 call about three individuals attempting to open car doors in a Ruskin neighborhood. Deputies quickly set up a perimeter with support from our Aviation and K9 Sections. The suspects were seen throwing stolen items into a wooded area before running into a home. Deputies made contact with the residents and identified the suspects as Levi Rogers, 15, TJ Harwell, 14, and Noa Clark, 17. All three were arrested and charged with Burglary of an Unoccupied Vehicle. “Our Aviation and K9 Sections played a crucial role in tracking these individuals and ensuring a swift arrest,” said Sheriff Chad Chronister. “This is another example of our commitment to keeping Hillsborough County safe. Criminal activity will not be tolerated, and we will continue to hold offenders accountable."
