Recently, we teamed up with the Cerris Builders and Cerris Systems Kansas City offices to host a booth at the annual Society of Women Engineers - SWE Introduce a Girl to Engineering Day. This event hosts hundreds of high school-aged girls from around the Kansas City metro area and introduces them to a variety of engineering disciplines through hands-on activities, panel discussions, keynote presentations, and the opportunity to talk to representatives from local A/E/C companies. As we celebrate Women in Construction Week, we’re especially proud to have the opportunity to highlight the incredible opportunities for women in the construction industry. We had a fantastic time sharing our experiences, answering questions, and encouraging the next generation of female engineers to explore the many career paths available in our field.

Women in Construction Week is here! This year's National Association of Women in Construction theme, "Together We Rise," celebrates the power of teamwork, mentorship, and resilience in the construction industry. Every day, women in construction break barriers, build strong foundations, and pave the way for future generations.

New employees from across the country recently gathered for a day full of learning about our company and culture at Foundations, our new employee orientation. This cohort included 20 participants from both office and field roles. Topics from the day included the organization's history, our company's vision, and, of course, employee ownership and the ESOP. Welcome to all new employees — we're thrilled to have you join the team!

Last week, our team was privileged to donate $125,000 to our national charitable partner, Folds of Honor Kansas City, on behalf of our people nationwide. We couldn't be prouder to champion Folds of Honor and their dedication to providing educational scholarships to the families of U.S. military personnel wounded or killed while serving their country and the families of our country's first responders. ? Funds for the donation were raised at the fourth Cerris Purchasing Summit banquet and golf tournament and supplemented by the Cerris Caring Heart Foundation. Thank you to everyone who donated time, talent, and resources to ensure the Purchasing Summit was a successful event for our charity partner.
