Recent initiatives like Governor Newsom’s investment plan further underscore the state’s commitment to fostering sustainable growth and innovation.
Amid all the talk over the efficacy of certain federal programs, two that are definitely working are SelectUSA and Buy America. I recently interviewed a CEO who chose to relocate his company HQ from New Zealand to Riverside, CA because of these programs. The firm is EV shuttle maker Ohmio, and the executive is Dean Zabrieszach. The opportunity is definitely there for the USA to win a bunch more of these wins as long as we stay in the game. More than 3,400 food manufacturing establishments generate $82 billion in value added to the state’s economy annually. Each additional job in food and beverage processing generates 2.84 more jobs through multiplier impacts. We did!
