This week marks one month since we introduced our new brand to the world, but several months before the official launch, we gave our global employees a sneak preview at a live, global telecast in Toronto hosted by Sonny Kalsi and Amy Price. The secret event, aptly called "The Next Episode", was a celebration of #TeamBGO and a first glimpse of the path ahead for all of us.? The atmosphere was electric as we proudly revealed the culmination of months of behind the scenes work to kick off this new era for our firm. Our partners Careys, Skanska, and Celsa Steel UK are putting the circular economy into action through the recycling of our temporary work props at #BGO Welput's 105 Victoria Street development site. The outcome: 270 tonnes of steel will be re-purposed for re-use within the structure of our building, resulting in more than 400 tonnes of carbon savings! Our partners see the world as we do; one brimming with #sustainability opportunities to reduce the environmental footprint of our #realestate at every stage of the lifecycle. NEW APPOINTMENT ANNOUNCEMENT: #BGO is pleased to announce that Simon Holmes has been appointed as Chief Investment Officer for BGO in #Canada. In this role, he will lead the investment team responsible for execution of our Canadian #realestate transaction activity. Simon’s appointment to CIO adds to his current position as leader and Portfolio Manager for our flagship Canadian core strategy. In his expanded leadership capacity, Simon will contribute to our strategic platform growth initiatives and he will continue to have an active role in BGO’s investor relations and capital raising functions.
