Team Up Mentoring's mission is to foster generational change for families affected by trauma. We do this by providing holistic case management and mentoring to help children and families overcome the generational obstacles that often walk hand-in-hand with trauma. We believe in long-term relationships, trauma-informed care and a holistic approach to serving the whole child, so we make up to an 18 year investment in each child, providing education, physical and mental health, empowerment and mentoring services that they need. We are absolutely committed to doing whatever it takes to help young people succeed.

When we (the adults) are around kids, and we begin to feel big emotions, we usually feel the need to suppress those emotions. Oftentimes, this is because we want to look strong in front of kids. However, one of the BEST things we can do for the kids in our lives is to show them that emotions (and healthily dealing with those emotions) are normal and - in fact - encouraged. We're all human. Just because we're adults doesn't mean we're robots. Our fearless leader, Anna, gives her thoughts on this topic in her most recent Reflections email.
