LGBTQ Equality. Women's Equality. Social Justice.

关于我们

LPAC is the only organization whose mission is to elect lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, and queer women and nonbinary people. LPAC was founded in 2012 by a group of LGBTQ women seeking to create a place, and voice, at the power table for our community. At the time of our founding, the scarcity of queer women and nonbinary candidates prompted LPAC to also support staunch allies who championed LGBTQ rights nationwide. These allies have been pivotal in shaping a political environment where queer candidates are now empowered and feel safe to pursue office. We do this by endorsing and investing in candidates directly and supporting them through independent expenditure campaigns. We’ve raised more than $7.1 million and endorsed more than 255 candidates. And we’re just getting started. LPAC’s focus is on electing LGBTQ women and nonbinary candidates who share our values: LGBTQ and women’s equality, women’s health, and social justice, while helping coalesce LGBTQ women as a concrete and powerful political demographic. If you are running for office and would like to find out more about our endorsement process, please contact us.

The road ahead is undoubtedly challenging. But amid this uncertainty, we find hope and inspiration in the victories that lit up Election Night. We achieved a 78% win rate and supported over 200 LGBTQ+ women and nonbinary candidates, showcasing the momentum of our movement. For us here at LPAC, the shining stars are our endorsed Congressional, state and local elected officials who champion our values of inclusivity and equality. As of today: * 82 percent of our candidates of color won * 69 percent of our trans candidates won * 74 percent of our candidates 40 and under won * 92 percent of our incumbents have won re-election * 79 percent of our candidates running in tossup districts won * 80 percent of our candidates running in southern states won With Senator Tammy Baldwin winning re-election, we have?protected LGBTQ+ representation in the U.S. Senate.?Our Congressional champion incumbents - Becca Balint, Sharice Davids, and Angie Craig - will be joined by Julie Johnson, Sarah McBride, and Emily Randall,?doubling our bench in the House of Representatives.?In state legislatures, inspiring trailblazers like Gabby Salinas in Tennessee, Keturah Herron in Kentucky, and Lisa Grafstein in North Carolina will stand strong for our communities, fighting discrimination and defending our rights. There is still work to do, and LPAC is ready to lead the way. Together, we will move forward, and we will never stop working toward a more just and inclusive America.

Thank you to Maya Rupert at Square One Politics for featuring LPAC Executive Director Janelle Perez and our work here at LPAC! "We have really, really cool queer women and nonbinary folks running this year... They are trailblazers for so many people that will come behind them. And their stories need to be elevated because we — queer women and nonbinary folks — need to see that there's folks out there that are running and putting themselves out there to fight for them."
