This afternoon at #NAEYCac we had a great session featuring Breeyn Mack, Dr. Nicol Russell, and Tammy Kwan: Realizing The Promise of Assessment. Together, they shared ways to reimagine capturing and leveraging assessment information from a variety of inputs to build a complete picture of each child. And, they previewed some exciting new updates coming to GOLD in the coming year!

Last week, Teaching Strategies' Luis D. Wasserman and Suzana Spina attended the Annual OMEP Nigeria Conference (OMEP WORLD is the World Organisation for Early Childhood Education). They were the first American delegation to participate in the conference's 36-year history. They presented sessions on building resilience and play-based learning and distributed 40 The Creative Curriculum for Kindergarten Seeds Study Mini-Kits, which will enable Nigerian schools to experience project-based learning firsthand. Together with teachers and school leaders from across Africa, they connected, danced, laughed, and had fruitful conversations about how to strengthen play- and inquiry-based learning.
