We are a nonprofit organization supporting our communities by providing free school supplies to local K-12 educators.
关于我们
The Teacher Store is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization imagined by Corda Credit Union. Our mission is to support K-12 educators by providing free supplies and resources to benefit students and schools in our communities. This is done through community events, pop-up shops, and school visits. The Teacher Store was founded in 2008 as a storefront in downtown Cedar Rapids. In 2018, the Teacher Store went mobile with our truck so we can reach more schools and educators across Eastern Iowa.

The Teacher Store is spotlighting a local K-12 educator each month in our series called Teacher Store Role Call! ?? We want to recognize the amazing work educators are doing in and out of the classroom to support students and our communities. Our featured educator for September is Molly! Name: Molly Kalb ? School: Trailside Elementary School ? Role in Education: 4th Grade Teacher ? Additional Roles or Responsibilities: I am part of our Culture Committee where we plan events for staff and students throughout the school year. ? How long have you been in education? I’ve been in education for 10 years. I subbed and then got hired with CRCSD seven years ago. I’ve taught 3rd-5th grade. ? Volunteer Roles: I volunteer at Tim Tebow’s Night to Shine each year. It’s a wonderful event for people with special needs. What is your favorite thing about being an educator? I love seeing my students grow from the beginning of the year to the end of the year. It’s fun to watch them mature socially and academically. ? What are you looking forward to this school year? I am currently teaching in a brand-new school, so I am looking forward to seeing new friendships form between students and staff of the two former elementary schools. I am also looking forward to making new memories and traditions in our new facility! Favorite Teacher Store event or memory? I enjoyed getting to mingle with other teachers at Big Grove last spring! ? Favorite school supply item of all time? My favorite school supplies are Paper Mate Flair Pens and Post-it notes. ? Hobbies outside of education? I enjoy exercising outdoors, spending time with my husband and two boys, cheering on the Hawkeyes and reading. Join us in recognizing Molly for her dedication to supporting students and families in our community! ?? ??
