Partner Dan Stanner and Nelson Mullins Riley & Scarborough recently helped their client, a machine manufacturer, obtain a key ruling. As a result of the opinion issued by the United States District Court for the Northern District of Texas, only a single claim of strict product liability remains in a case filed by a worker against TDR’s client. Judge Ed Kinkeade ruled that the worker could not amend her complaint to add design defect claims against the manufacturer and dismissed her gross negligence claims.? Additional information and a link to a Law360 article about the ruling is available here: https://lnkd.in/g5ktSCrr
