Last month, we welcomed 'The Bear' to the neighborhood, commemorating 100 years of Boston Bruins hockey.??? The?statue, designed by Harry Weber, stands 6-feet tall, 10-feet long and weighs 3,500 pounds.?The?bear?is composed of 90 individual bronze pieces all welded together, and positioned on a 28-inch plinth, which is inscribed with a message directed to?the?Boston community.?The?inscription reflects?the?core values and legacy that?the?team and its fans have fostered in?the?city throughout its first century. ? Next time you are at The Hub on Causeway, be sure to pay 'The Bear' a visit and pat his paw for good luck!

For the 28th year, TD Garden Neighborhood Charities partnered with Friends of Boston's Homeless and the City of Boston Emergency Shelter Commission for its annual community event, Table of Friends.?Governor Maura Healey, Mayor Michelle Wu, and other leaders joined TD Garden President Glen Thornborough to serve meals to 1,000+ unhoused individuals. Huge thanks to our Delaware North culinary team, special guest servers and more than 100 volunteers from TD Garden, TD, Boston Bruins and the Boston Celtics who continue to help make this tradition possible. Earlier in the week, Delaware North Boston and TD Garden also supported the City of Boston's turkey drive, helping to distribute 3,100 turkeys and 50,000 pounds of food to those in the community experiencing food insecurity. “The holidays can bring additional stress to families in our community, and we’re committed to helping where we can,” said Delaware North CEO Charlie Jacobs. “We’re happy to partner with the City of Boston on expanding the turkey drive initiative and having an opportunity to provide additional support to our neighbors this holiday season.”

Last Friday, TD Garden, in partnership with The Skating Club of Boston & Meet Boston, hosted the kickoff press conference for the 2025 ISU World Figure Skating Championships. Legends Scott Hamilton and Ashley Wagner were in attendance, and guests enjoyed a surprise performance from Ilia Malinin! ? Last week, Jen Compton, Senior Vice President of Business Strategy, welcomed guests to TD Garden for the 13th Annual Hoop Dreams Tournament benefiting Action for Boston Community Development. ABCD supports crucial services for under-resourced young people, providing access to career development, opportunities for employment, and mentorship. Those enrolled in ABCD's youth programs have a 100% completion rate. The Sun shined bright in Boston ? Last week, TD Garden made history by hosting its first-ever WNBA game, featuring the Connecticut Sun vs. the LA Sparks. The atmosphere was electric, with a sold-out crowd of 19,156 passionate fans filling the arena to witness this groundbreaking event.
