Grand Prairie Main Library ?? 6:30pm - 7:30pm Our S.O.A.R Mentorship Program, is aimed at empowering and guiding our youth toward personal growth and academic success. @tdfoundation we believe that parental involvement is crucial to the success of this program, all parents are required to attend. It’s an excellent opportunity to learn more about what your teenagers will experience and to address any questions or concerns you may have. Currently accepting students in grades 9th-12th. Can I tell you a story? I've known Takesha Dye since I was a teen. She was a school resource officer in my district. When I was 17, I wanted to attend the Washington Journalism and Media Conference in D.C, but couldn't afford the registration fee. Officer Dye was one of the wonderful people that helped pay for that trip. The WJMC set me on a path of exposure and opportunity to where 5 years later, I get the privilege of being the keynote speaker for her organization's Teen Summit. I am forever grateful for a community that invested in me. And in this season, it is amazing seeing those investments manifest.
