The revamped Sports Medicine program at University of Western States is transforming student learning with a three-day intensive lab featuring standardized patients – trained actors playing real-world roles like athletes, coaches, and new exercisers. This innovative approach equips students to handle real-life clinical challenges and difficult conversations, such as navigating concussion protocols during a game.
