If you were to show up at Trinity House right now and walk up to the second floor, this is what you would see: A group of Trinity men is working quietly in the common area. When asked what they are up to, they said the following: - Working on an Indeed resume? - Looking to apply to plumbing school - Filling out information to receive help with taxes for next year This room is full of men thinking about their future, some for the first time in a long time. Towkir has been at Trinity House for several months now. He’s gone through ERC, attended groups, and taken part in community activities. He’s a red shirt now, which means he can start looking for a job. Towkir had an interview earlier this week. He was so excited. He spent a lot of time picking out his outfit for the interview - he wanted to impress the hiring manager by looking sharp. On his way out the door, he ran into Scott (E.D.) and Dedrick (Program Manager). He told them about his interview and how excited he was. Both Scott and Dedrick noticed Towkir’s collar was a little crooked. They quickly stepped up to fix it. They also wanted him to look sharp for the interview. This meant the world to Towkir. At Trinity House, Towkir doesn’t only receive food, housing, and programs. He is a part of a community that looks out for him. That wants him to succeed. That pays attention to the details. Towkir got invited back for another round of interviews later this week - send him luck as he continues to work towards his goals!
