It was great to be back in NJ last week to work with a fantastic group of educators from Eatontown Public Schools as they develop project-based learning units for their PreK-8 classrooms! So many passionate teachers creating new partnerships, collaborations, & learning opportunities!

Thank you to our awesome hosts at Kurt J. Lesker Company for sharing with us about how they enable technology for a better world, building on a legacy in the vacuum industry and now manufacturing and processing all kinds of technologies (from our phones to space) that have pieces made in a vacuum for the cleanest, most effective products. Our Future Ready Leaders students from California Area and Ringgold School Districts had a great time and learned a lot!

Today was the third meeting of our Building a Positive School Climate cohort! Amazing to be in a room with 40-plus educators excited to learn about stakeholder engagement. Educators engaged in a collaborative brainstorming session to explore these key questions: -How can we increase parental involvement? -What about community partners? -How can we build everyone's capacity to meaningfully engage in the growth, support, and success of our students?

??Upcoming High School Opportunity from WQED!?? On April 10th from 5-8 PM, WQED will be hosting its 6th annual Film & Media College Fair! The fair will be held at Penn Hills High School (309 Collins Drive, Penn Hills, PA 15235) as well as virtually via Zoom. Top film and media schools locally and around the country will be joining to share information about their programs. The event will culminate in a live and virtually broadcast peer-led Q&A designed to allow high school students and families to ask candid questions and engage with current college students, including WQED Creator Academy (formerly known as WQED Film Academy) alumni. This is a great event for high schoolers to meet schools and universities with prestige in film, media, content creation, and beyond.
