To everyone who has been part of this journey—thank you. Thank you for showing up, for fighting the hard fights, and for standing with us through it all. And to those who work alongside us, thank you for getting your hands dirty too—we see you, and we’re so grateful you’re here. But in the midst of all the hard work, don’t forget to take care of yourself too. Drink water, take a breath, and refill your cup. We can’t pour into others if we’re running on empty. ?? Happy Thursday ??

Temenos CDC is deeply saddened by the sudden loss of Congressman and former Houston Mayor Sylvester Turner. We extend our deepest condolences to his family, loved ones, and all those whose lives he touched. His unwavering dedication to public service and his heartfelt impact on the Houston community will never be forgotten. “Leading Change Through Affordable Housing” #WomenWhoLead #WomenHistoryMonth Can you share your personal journey and what inspired you to get involved in affordable housing? ***** I am a product of the environment I serve. During my early years, I lived in affordable housing, and I truly believe that my experiences shaped my career path. If it weren't for those formative years, I might not have chosen this field. Affordable housing has been a significant part of my life, and I can honestly say that I wouldn’t be where I am today without it. As the Executive Director, I recognize that my journey is deeply intertwined with the mission of providing stable and affordable housing for others. It’s not just my job; it’s my calling, and I feel a profound responsibility to give back to the community that helped shape who I am. Here are some hashtags you can use to promote the theme of making change through affordable housing: #AffordableHousing #HousingForAll #MakingChange #CommunityImpact #EmpowerThroughHousing #AffordableLiving #HousingJustice #BuildingStrongerCommunities #HomeIsHumanRight #ChangeMakers #HousingEquity #InvestInCommunities #StableHomes #TransformingLives #AffordableHousingMatters

As we kick off Women’s History Month, we’re proud to highlight and uplift one of the two pillars who laid the foundation for Temenos CDC — our founder, Pastor Juanita Rasmus. ??? Through her powerful words at TEDxHoustonWomen, she reminds us that many women — even as adults — can find themselves stuck trying to be a "good little girl." But if we never pause to ask ourselves who we are, what we need, what we want, and what truly makes us feel alive, we risk missing out on the beautiful life waiting for us. Thank you, Pastor Juanita, for reminding us that it’s okay to take off the mask and let the world see our true, authentic selves. We are grateful for your courage and wisdom in breaking down the harmful stigmas around women, mental health, and being a leader — and for encouraging us all to embrace the power of "learning to be" ?? Thank you for the love that you’ve poured into the Houston community and the beautiful people who call it home. #WomensHistoryMonth #TemenosCDC #WomenWhoLead #JustBe #HoustonStrong #AffordableHousing?#HopeStartsHere?#PermanentSupportiveHousing #houston?#houstonnonproft?#endhomelessness?#nonprofit?#affordablehousingmatters?#temenoscdc

We’re kicking off the week with gratitude and action which is a great way to fight those Monday blues! We would like to give a huge thanks to our friends at Harris Health System, especially Sherrie, for their unwavering dedication to our residents! ?? ?? Do you know why permanent supportive housing programs, like Temenos CDC, and accessible healthcare programs, like the Harris Health System go hand in hand? Recent studies show that individuals in PSH programs with access to healthcare experience fewer ER visits (down 14.3%) and a 25.2% decrease in healthcare costs. ?? At Temenos CDC, we do more than provide a roof over your head—we offer healing, hope, and a brighter future. Permanent supportive housing is about more than just a home; it’s about access to essential healthcare to address both physical and mental health needs. That’s why partnerships with incredible programs like the Harris Health System are vital. By helping individuals heal physically and mentally, we empower them to rebuild their lives and unlock their potential. Healing the body and mind clears the path to recovery, helping our residents see a brighter future ahead. ??? ?? #AffordableHousing #HopeStartsHere #PermanentSupportiveHousing #houston #houstonnonproft #endhomelessness #nonprofit #affordablehousingmatters #temenoscdc #harrishealth #affordablehealthcare #communityhealth
