  • ?? ?????????? ?????? ?????? ???????????????? – ?????????????????? ?????????? ??????????????! ???? This International Women's Day, we celebrate women like Shihaam Benjamin, who are repairing their lives, rewriting their stories, and leading the way for their children to do the same. For 20 years, she battled addiction, facing obstacles that seemed impossible to overcome. But for her five children and her family, she fought for change. Through the TCB Repair Programme, Shihaam turned her natural talent for fixing things into a thriving business, breaking barriers in a male-dominated industry. "For the first time, I’m allowing myself to dream," says Shihaam. ? Read her story here: https://lnkd.in/dhJmkumX #IWD2025 #WomensDay #WomenInRepair #BreakingBarriers #EmpoweredWomen #TCBRepair

  • At TCB we've learnt that sustainable waste management isn’t just about systems and processes; it’s about people. When those working in waste management shift from passive doers to proactive problem solvers, they begin to: ?? ???????? ?????????????????? rather than just follow orders ?? ?????? ?????????? in what others throw away ?? ???????????? ???????????????????? that turn waste into opportunity ?? ???????? ???????????? in their own communities ? By investing in ownership, skills development, and human empowerment, we don’t just improve waste systems - we create leaders in sustainability who drive long-term change. ? I was privileged to share some of Belgotex ‘s experiences implementing the applied science of neuroplasticity - Occupational Intelligence - in our ecosystem both at work in the programmes that we invest in (www.thegogroup.org.za). I spoke of our leadership’s ability to practice courage and vulnerability - I am blessed to be a part of a management committee who role model these 2 competencies every day. Taking Care of Business run a community of practice for A2B practitioners and this was one of the master classes. Check out the webinar here and DM me if you want to learn more. I’m a typical iPhone user (not proud ??)…so while sharing long awaited pictures of the “imiguyo” and “mgidi” season in the Eastern Cape I was reminded of the incredible experience we had at the WINFestival @Silo District in Cape Town. On our site visit…hearing the powerful stories of transformation from these amazing women left me in awe. They came from feeling helpless, dreaming and later being able to provide for their loved ones. Their unique journeys are a testament to benefits of resilience and determination. Thanks to Sis Olga for sharing her story with everyone ????. As I reflect on their stories, I'm reminded that we all need to play a role in creating a better tomorrow through sustainable solutions. The work of Taking Care of Business is a shining example of this principle in action! @TCB team, thank you for sharing and inspiring us to make a difference! WomenIN (WiN) and VUKA Group thank you for the opportunity, looking forward to many more. #SustainableFashion #WomenInBusiness #Inspiration #SustainabilityInAction #WINningtogether #CountHerIn #xhosadirecttranslations??

Building a great business isn’t always about the flashy moments or the big wins—it’s about the foundations you build from day one. One of our recent guests shared an invaluable lesson from their journey: ?? Invest in systems early and consistently As an accountant, Tracey Chambers had seen how great businesses thrive with the right tools and processes. They knew it wasn’t the “sexy” part of entrepreneurship, but it was non-negotiable. Why? - Sustainability: Without solid systems, even promising businesses risk collapsing under their own weight. - Accountability: Proper processes ensure you manage resources—especially money—effectively. - Growth Enablement: Thinking like a business from the start sets the stage for scaling. "Where’s the ROI?" people often ask about investments in CRMs, accounting systems, or other operational tools. The truth? The ROI isn’t always immediate, but it’s essential for long-term success. What systems or processes have been game-changers for your business? Share your insights below ?? FULL EPISODE AVAILABLE ON SPOTIFY, APPLE PODCAST & YOUTUBE ?? https://lnkd.in/dDdXRZcK
