Exciting news: TBH Recognized as a Top 10 Startup in Education! TBH was founded on the belief that the greatest health challenge facing American youth and adolescents today is a mental health crisis. Our thesis is that technology, intentionally designed to support school ecosystems with a holistic, whole-student approach to mental health—not just therapy, but also addressing economic factors like basic needs—can and will solve this crisis. This recognition reaffirms our commitment to helping thousands of students access critical, evidence-based mental health and basic needs support—resources that would otherwise be unavailable to them, and that are now enabling them to focus on school once again. This work wouldn’t be possible without the support of so many. A big shoutout to our early champions, including Dr. Manu Kumar ????, Angela Tran, Former Mayor Michael Tubbs, Eloy Oakley, Alison Cerezo, Alice Shobe, and Kevin Kreider—and to all of our amazing school and enterprise partners. Our team had a fantastic experience exhibiting at this year’s Health Services Association of California Community Colleges (HSACCC) Conference! The theme,?"Stronger Together: Collaborate, Connect, & Engage,"?perfectly aligns with our mission at TBH. We were grateful for the opportunity to connect with community colleges across California and engage in meaningful discussions on how to best support their students. Our conversations focused on the critical role of mental health and basic needs services, ensuring students have access to the resources necessary for both academic and personal success. It’s inspiring to see so many institutions prioritizing student well-being, and we look forward to continuing our collaboration. See you next week in San Francisco at the CSSO Conference!

We had a great time at the 2024 Basic Needs Summit, hosted by the Community College League of California and Real College California Coalition. It was rewarding to meet our California Community College System partners, like San Diego City College and San Diego Mesa College, and collaborate in person. A special thanks to Sadie Brown for organizing the event and inviting us. During the conference, we discussed the 30% increase in visits to Basic Needs centers over the past year—a clear sign that students are seeking more support. This rising demand highlights the importance of developing innovative tech solutions to enhance 24/7 accessibility and equity in student support services. We’re proud to work with some of California’s most forward-thinking districts to help students succeed. We’re beaming with pride over here at TBH! It’s always inspiring to see our advisors doing incredible things. Last week, we celebrated TBH advisor and Former Mayor Michael Tubbs in the news, and this week, it’s TBH advisor Kevin Kreider making waves.???? Kevin’s new film is now the #1 highest-grossing film in the Philippines! From starring in?Bling Empire?on Netflix to launching his own production studio, ALLS Productions, Kevin is on a mission to bring authentic Asian love stories to studios and TV screens worldwide. We’re thrilled to partner with Kevin as he continues his campus tour, where he’s centering Asian voices and raising awareness about Asian mental health and men’s mental health. Our team was at his last stop at San Joaquin Delta College and saw how his work is making a real difference, and we can't wait for the next stop on his tour! It’s an honor to collaborate with Kevin in his efforts to amplify Asian voices, both in media and in mental health conversations. Read more about Kevin’s inspiring work here:?https://lnkd.in/efE2q5CU
