Our imaging capabilities recently took a significant step forward with the addition of a new, state-of-the-art cardiovascular CT scanner. We are the first hospital in California to use the?Canon Aquilion ONE / INSIGHT Edition CT scanner?and the first in the United States with a commercial system installed for advanced cardiovascular CT scans. The scanner produces high-quality, three-dimensional (3D) images of the heart, along with blood vessels and surrounding structures. It can help identify blockages or narrowing of the arteries and detect problems with the pumping function of the heart which may indicate possible heart disease. “This technology is going to be a true game-changer for the way we deliver care to our patients at UC Davis, particularly when it comes to heart and blood vessel imaging,” said?Elizabeth Morris, chair of?the Department of Radiology. “Not only will it expand our capabilities in both clinical care and research, but because we can better detect, diagnose, and monitor heart disease, it represents hope for better patient outcomes.” Learn more: https://lnkd.in/gz6qRCUp

IIDA Northern California Sacramento City Center MERGE Time Capsule Couture Event was a great event representing our greater Sacramento architecture and design community and benefiting our student design awards! Taylor Design Architectural Nexus and Glumac presented Dust to Diamonds, a silhouette that evokes the fashion of the 1930's.
