Earlier this month, and in partnership with HomeAid Georgia, our Atlanta Team participated in Capitol Build Day, which involved building a home on the state capitol’s lawn. The idea was to demonstrate to legislators the support that is needed to build affordable housing and to raise awareness of the tax advantages non-profit organizations (like HomeAid) need to source materials. ? Following the build, the team broke down the house, loaded it on a truck and it will soon be erected on a lot for a person in need. #ThisisTMLiving

Times are changing. Where the role of homemaker once limited women to the home, that’s no longer the case. Now, women are designing, engineering and building the spaces that define our world. ? Our Chairman and CEO Sheryl Palmer—the only female CEO of a publicly-trade homebuilder—made this point and more at last week’s SXSW, in The Female Quotient Equality Lounge with Shelley Zalis. ? Given our majority female board, and the fact that we’ve seen a nearly 900 percent growth of women in construction roles in the past decade (compared to the industry’s nine percent), we’re uniquely positioned to lead this conversation. ? Our shift is a testament to what’s possible. And what needs to happen. ? While the 'trad wife' movement has revived debates around traditional gender roles, we’ve found that women, regardless of their profession, are key decision-makers in the homebuying process. ? It’s time to redefine 'homemaker.' No longer tied to one gender, career, or marital status, the term should be inclusive of all. ? Last week, investors and analysts gathered with our Leadership Team for our first-ever Investor Day presentation and community immersion at one of our Esplanade resort-lifestyle communities. ? During the presentation, our Chairman and CEO Sheryl Palmer delved into our multi-year financial targets and introduced longer-term growth ambitions, including reaching approximately 20,000 annual home closings by 2028. ? "Our diversification, consumer centricity and courage to chart our own path are competitive differentiators that give us confidence in our positive long-term outlook despite the broader headwinds facing our industry,” said Sheryl. ????????????????????????????????????? The construction labor shortage isn’t theoretical — it’s one of the biggest constraints on housing production, and exerts a direct domino-effect on affordability, quality, and building cost efficiency. Yet, the industry continues to underappreciate the potency and impact of a talent pool hiding in plain sight: women. Taylor Morrison has already proven what’s possible, largely due to Chairman/CEO Sheryl Palmer's leadership. Over the past decade, they’ve increased female representation in construction roles by 887%—a challenge to the outdated idea that homebuilding is a “man’s job.” This isn’t about diversity as a buzzword, as we explore in The Builder's Daily. It’s about the future of homebuilding. If homebuilders don’t invest in women now, they’ll pay the price later. Stephanie McCarty

It's 2025, and women still represent only 10.9% of the construction industry. At Taylor Morrison, we’re proud to be led by the only female CEO of a publicly traded homebuilder and to have a workforce of women that is four times the industry average. ? Now, it’s time for the rest of the world to catch up. ? When companies do not reflect the diversity of the real world, real people get left behind—or at least, deprioritized. ? Last year, 31% of our female borrowers were single women. Imagine the opportunities we’d miss out on without a representative workforce that understands the needs and desires of this group. ? It’s not just progress for progress’ sake. It’s essential to any strong business plan. Happy Women in Construction Week! ??♀? #ThisisTMLiving #WomeninConstructionWeek

Meet Atlanta Senior Superintendent and Certified Superintendent Coach Jory Holbrook—a third-generation homebuilder in Forsyth County. His family’s building legacy dates to the 1930s in the very county Jory still calls home today. “It’s an honor to be a part of the fabric of Forsyth County’s history,” Jory said. Jory’s TM community, Stratford Hills, is just 11 miles up the road from the home he built from the ground up, which allows him to form special connections with his homeowners. “Earning their friendship and trust has meant a lot to me. During the Pre-Construction meeting, I’ll let them know I’m their neighbor (literally!), and tell them that their kids and my kids go to school together and when you see me at the local grocery store, you’ll want to say ‘Hello’ because I can assure you, I will make sure you're 100% happy with your home.” #ThisisTMLiving
