In many #newconstruction communities, well-designed and fully amenitized clubhouses are playing a more significant role in the sales process, according to national #commercial interiors firm and Taylor Johnson client Mary Cook Associates (MCA). MCA notes clubhouses are an especially effective tool in showcasing the lifestyle a community offers, making an impact with prospective buyers by demonstrating rich opportunities for social engagement, wellness, recreation, experience-based living and strong community connections. Leveraging these insights, the TJ team successfully pitched a Q&A feature with MCA president and founder Mary Cook to Pro Builder Media. In the resulting story, which can be read in today's #TJTALK, Cook explained how successful clubhouse design must take geography, climate and target demographics into consideration, and stressed that amenity spaces should be multifunctional, catering to different activities at different times of day through adaptable lighting, good ergonomics and flexible furnishings: https://conta.cc/41R3sSq

Every March during #WomensHistoryMonth, the #realestate industry celebrates the increasing number of females doing important work on job sites big and small with #WomeninConstructionWeek (WIC). However, some fear the Trump administration’s recent executive orders targeting diversity, equity and inclusion (DEI)?initiatives could imperil women’s progress in the industry.?When we learned Bisnow was?running?a story for WIC on this topic, we connected the reporter with Kate Ivanova, an executive vice president at Taylor Johnson?client McHugh Construction,?and?Sandya Dandamudi, president of fellow TJ client GI Stone. Read today's #TJTALK to learn more about what Ivanova and Dandamudi think on the hiring practices, support networks and future of women in #construction: https://conta.cc/4kLZe7f

With the days getting longer and warmer, and summer vacation talk already underway, we knew it was the perfect time to announce #residential sales officially started at newly-minted Taylor Johnson client SoLa, a $305 million #resort community by Farpoint Development in the heart of downtown Michigan City, Ind. Named for the site’s location south of the lake, SoLa will bring 188 #luxuryresidences (including #condominiums and #townhomes), a 250-key hotel, vacation rentals, new retail, restaurants, and world-class amenities like a full-service spa and indoor/outdoor swimming pool with a retractable roof, to the southern shores of Lake Michigan. Just 50 miles east of #Chicago and a short drive to nearby Indiana Dunes National Park, SoLa is one of several new happenings in #MichiganCity, including the South Shore line’s new Double Track, which are poised to transform the area into a destination for natural recreation. TJ shared news of sales starting at SoLa with media, resulting in to-date coverage in Crain's Chicago Business, Indiana Economic Digest, NW Times of Indiana, the La Porte County Herald-Dispatch and REjournals. Stay tuned to #TJTALK for more updates on SoLa in the coming months: https://conta.cc/3R0EvPu

When Taylor Johnson?client NAI Hiffman?told us they were adding two new senior executives to its growing advisory services and #propertymanagement divisions, we knew the news had the potential to go national. After developing strategy for publicizing the hires, we placed exclusive news of Paul Grusecki being named managing director and head of advisory services with Real Estate Alert, while also giving CoStar first opportunity to cover Gannon O'Brien’s hire?as director of #office property management.?In his new role, Grusecki will expand?Hiffman’s project services, workplace solutions, lender services and lease administration offerings, which along with the firm’s #management and #brokerage capabilities provide clients with a comprehensive suite of #realestate solutions. O’Brien, meanwhile, will look to expand Hiffman’s management portfolio in #Chicago and other urban and suburban markets nationwide. Learn more in today's #TJTALK: https://conta.cc/3DxmBRo?

Did you know that since 2019, the percentage of women-owned businesses has nearly doubled? That’s certainly something to celebrate on this #InternationalWomensDay! And while women-owned businesses still account for less than half of all businesses in the U.S., we are so glad to see these strides being made. Today we’re celebrating our female founder, Deborah Taylor Johnson, our female President, Emily Johnson, and our entire team of smart, dedicated, creative and passionate women who fill roles ranging from our office manager to SVP! Thank you for all you do!

Thank you for the kind words, Andrea Riquier. We truly appreciate the acknowledgment! Our team at Taylor Johnson Public Relations is intentional about crafting pitches that are thoughtful, relevant and collaborative. It’s great to hear that approach resonates.
Sometimes I knock dumb #PR people. But when someone does something well, I like to call it out. The pitch excerpted below was excellent. It was well-written - full sentences, no little-girl acronyms, etc. It was thoughtful. It was to the point but full of good suggestions. It implied that the senders would be good collaborators, and everything noted above would give me confidence in believing it. #journalism Nicely done, Taylor Johnson Public Relations, Traci Failla and Hannah Pisani. ???? ?? March marks the fifth year since the worldwide #COVID shutdowns.?If you are planning any stories that explore how pandemic pivots influenced permanent changes in commercial and residential real estate, we can offer a number of sources – architects, designers, brokers, developers, property managers and more – who can discuss a range of topics including but not limited to: ? Where and How We Live How the boomerang effect from the social distancing days has resulted in a desire for face-to-face spaces in multifamily buildings and build-to-rent neighborhoods that foster resident connections. How the need for “curbside closings” accelerated the convenience factor in residential?real estate transactions,?benefiting?both buyers and sellers. Ways new?senior living?communities are being designed differently as a result of COVID. Why wellness is becoming an increasingly important factor in?student housing?design, especially for a generation whose upbringing was so impacted by the pandemic. How the role and responsibilities of?property management at rental communities?have changed with accelerated reliance?on tech tools, as well as an increased appetite for social connections. ? Where and How We Work Why the trend is?“rightsizing” vs. downsizing office space, even with the push-pull created by employee preference for hybrid work and increasing return-to-office mandates. Why many companies are?needing more office space, even with hybrid schedules. Why there is?a place for older Class B and C offices?in the “flight to Class A,” and how those offices changed?to?address modern workplace needs.

There may be no greater compliment for a PR person than a reporter sharing your team's pitch as an example of what a good pitch looks like. Thank you, Andrea Riquier, for taking the time to acknowledge this, because I know journalists are inundated with #PR people wanting to tell their clients' stories. A lot of thought goes into what our team at Taylor Johnson Public Relations brings to media, and it's good to hear it shows.

One of the ways Taylor Johnson establishes and maintains a thought-leadership profile for clients is highlighting their presence at industry events and conferences, whether they are participating on a panel or attending. Because the National Multifamily Housing Council (NMHC) annual meeting is one of the industry’s most high-profile events, we were able to place a #byline in REjournals from Brad Lutz, NMHC attendee and #multifamily practice leader for TJ client Baker Barrios Architects, recapping his insights on conference highlights – an opportunity we were also able to secure for him as an NMHC attendee last year. This year, with a continued focus in the multifamily industry on new technologies, Lutz wrote about how #tech and #data can inform people-first #designs and even landed on the cover of February’s digital issue.
