A negative Google review is NOT the end of the world for your tax and accounting business. Yes, reviews are one of the factors that Google takes into account when ranking your business online. And the more good ones you have under your belt, the better. But... a negative review is an opportunity. It serves to show the world how you manage a conflict. In our industry, relationships are the name of the game, and relationships can sometimes be a little messy. Take time to give a thoughtful, warm, and thorough reply to any negative review on Google, no matter how unreasonably hostile the review is. This shows the world that you'll fight for your professional relationships, and you'd be surprised the effect it will have on the offended party. You might even see a negative review removed once you try and smooth things over. #accountingandaccountants #taxprofessionals
