Interesting Giving Facts I've been in Finance, Tech, Fortune 500's, Startups, Founded my own company to now running a non-profit - each step has been a journey of learning and growth. The surprises along the way have shaped my perspective on business and society and every once in a while you find something interesting. Yesterday, December 3rd, marked National Giving Day, and I wanted to highlight a fact I didn't know but found inspiring: According to Giving USA Americans donated $499.3 billion to charity in 2022, surpassing corporate income tax contributions of $424.7 billion in 2022. This generosity outweighs the productive tax contributions of corporations in the world's most powerful economy. The fact that charitable giving power exceeds the us corporate tax base gives me hope. It shows that despite challenges, Americans are willing to support causes they believe in. The spirit of care and paying it forward, deeply ingrained in American culture, demonstrates the power of collective action in addressing societal needs. "I am only one, but still I am one.
