Well, we gave you quite a bit of time to answer this one, but if you guessed the DD 1380 for our last trivia question - you are correct! The AutoDoc project will deliver sensor suites that passively collect accurate and reliable data about casualty status, medic actions, and resource use in real-time for the purpose of creating algorithms that will autonomously document a tactical combat casualty care card (DD 1380). Automating the DD 1380, or Tactical Combat Casualty Care Card, allows the combat medic to have greater capability and capacity to deliver care by giving the medic time for more physical tasks by reducing their task burden. #FuseTheTeam #FindAWAy #AutomatingCasualtyCare #innovation #AI

Today, TEAM TATRC recognized the contributions of one of its Senior Command Team Members. Mr. Dion Edwards, TATRC’s Executive Officer (XO) is departing us for an opportunity for personal growth & a “shorter commute.” Dion joined us two years ago in February 2023 & provided direct oversite of the Administrative Support Staff, leaving an indelible mark on our Organization. His experience in staffing and management proved to be very helpful during the Command’s transitioning phase under the Defense Health Agency. As he embarks on his next chapter with the National Institutes of Health’s Project Management Office, we wish Mr. Edwards every bit of success. While his daily presence & playful sense of humor will be deeply missed, he has no doubt made an impact with the staff. “This is a great team, and you have made my time here enjoyable. I know you will continue to do great work,” Dion said in his farewell. Please join us in thanking Dion Edwards for his service and wishing him the very best in his next chapter at National Institutes of Health! #FuseTheTeam | #FindAWay | #AutomatingCasualtyCare

"As the Military Health System continues its mission to deliver high-quality health care to service members, retirees, and their families, it must also prepare for a future driven by innovation. “In 2024, the United States Department of Defense and the MHS made significant progress in laying the foundation for integration, adoption, and use of trustworthy artificial intelligence in military medicine,” said Ms. Seileen Mullen, the acting Assistant Secretary of Defense for Health Affairs."
