We're thrilled to announce the expansion of our partnership with IKEA, providing IKEA customers with a more seamless shopping and service experience. In the US, UK, Canada, and Spain, IKEA customers can now book and pay for their Taskrabbit furniture assembly tasks at the time of purchase. This Black History Month, we’ve celebrated the theme “Black and Bold,” exploring the powerful connection between Taskrabbit’s value of being bold and the boldness, courage, and innovation of Black pioneers throughout history and today. We were grateful to be joined by Jill Lanier, who shared her transformative Mindful Renaissance Framework. This framework empowered us to shift our consciousness and thrive in an increasingly complex world through mindfulness and intentional self-care. We are heartbroken by the tragic Los Angeles wildfires that have impacted so many. At Taskrabbit, we're focused on supporting the recovery efforts of one of our largest communities. We were fortunate to find a small way to help recently. In partnership with IKEA, Taskrabbit for Good sponsored five Taskers to help organize and transport 18 truckloads of donated clothing, food, hygiene products, and baby supplies at Santa Monica College. These goods were then distributed directly to impacted individuals and families. Thank you to Taskers Gulistan M., Oscar C., Kier T., Brian R., and Dan C. for their help, to all of the IKEA coworker volunteers, and to Santa Monica College for supporting wildfire victims. In addition, Taskrabbit will donate up to $50,000 to charities supporting Los Angeles fire relief, and Taskrabbit for Good will continue to support non-profits in affected areas with sponsored Tasker services for wildfire victims. We are so thankful for the generosity and determination of LA Taskers to help rebuild and support their community.

On December 13th, through?Taskrabbit for Good, Taskrabbit employees had the opportunity to support?Habitat for Humanity International?through two impactful and creative projects: ????Our UK colleagues joined an?Upcycling Workshop?in East London, turning old furniture into something new. ????Our Bay Area team members met up in San Francisco to build a?garden-themed playhouse?for a local preschool—and of course, the playhouse design incorporated a rabbit! Both experiences were a fantastic way to give back to our communities while connecting with colleagues and celebrating the holidays. Huge thanks to the Habitat for Humanity affiliates in?SF?and?London, who do such important work to provide stable housing for those in need! ??

As part of Mes de las Culturas Unidas, Taskrabbit's Unidos affinity group hosted an inspiring Speaker Series with Dr. Lizette Ojeda, PhD. The session explored the intersection of cultural identity and career success, focusing on Spanish- and Portuguese-speaking communities. Dr. Ojeda covered key topics like the hustle mentality, imposter syndrome, and career advancement, encouraging us to embrace our "secret salsa" — the unique values and strengths that define us — and turn cultural identity into a career asset.
