Thank you, The Stillery, Veterans Community Project, Tuatara Consulting, Inc., 3Up Metal Works, friends, advocates of the #military #community for coming out in force to support the event. With your help, Veterans Community Project will close the funding gap required to break ground and build their Milwaukee community to help homeless vets get the shelter they need, mental and social services uplift, and other services they need to get "uplifted" and reintegrated! With it, we will raise the funds to get every tiny home connected!
November 8-11 our friends at The Stillery shouldered up with #VeteransAlliance partners Taskforce Uplift, Veterans Community Project, Tuatara Consulting, Inc., and 3Up Metal Works to conduct a #fundraiser to begin raising the targeted goal of $40k for Taskforce Uplift to equip the 40 #veteran tiny homes being constructed in the Milwaukee #community by the Veterans Community Project with the technology required to get vets in need connected! Thanks to the generosity of The Stillery, and the community rallying around great food, great drinks and great times the event raised just shy of $10k! Not too shabby!! I'm proud to partner up with organizations like VCP who puts roofs over homeless veteran's heads and focuses on the "uplift" required to get them back on their feet, back in the fight, and reintegrated into the communies that need their skills, families that need their love and presence, and to help them reestablish their sense of purpose! Together with friends like Anoop Prakash, Bill Malzewski, Jason Young and so many other friends and partners of the alliance, we bring possibility to life.
