Fun fact: The Sheriff & his wife have adopted 8 children over the years. Today is National Adoption Day. According to the SPCC, data collected from studies over the past three decades promotes normal development in children permanently separated from their birth parents. The odds of these same children coming into the criminal justice system drops dramatically from around 65% to less than 10% upon adoption. If you're considering adopting a child, there are 250 seeking homes here in Tarrant County, and countless others around the world.

Today TCSO and TCTCPA were at Cook Children's Hospital for "Crafts with a Cop." We appreciate Deputy Biggs and members of our Warrants Division for taking the time to volunteer and connect with these kids!

Tie One On for Safety is MADD's longest running designated driver public awareness campaign. It works to save lives during one of the most dangerous times of year on our nation's roadways - the holiday season between Thanksgiving and New Year's Day.
