"The Looming" - Sundance Winner w/ Masha Ko & Andrey Nikolaev We were honored to showcase The Looming, Sundance Institute 2024’s award-winning short directed by Masha Ko, who won the Short Film Special Jury Prize for Directing. Cinematographer Andrey Nikolaev, known for accolades including CAMERIMAGE International Film Festival, The American Society of Cinematographers, and The Clios, brought his mastery to this gripping 15-minute horror film about Chester, an elderly man confronting eerie noises in his home. Excitingly, A24 will adapt The Looming into a feature film, handling financing and worldwide distribution. Masha and Andrey shared fascinating insights into their creative process and careers during a public talk and Q&A, followed by a vibrant networking session.
