This month for TBT, we’re highlighting our work on the University of Pennsylvania Guesthouse. We transformed a pair of Victorian townhouses into a distinguished retreat for scholars and local leaders. This stately structure now serves as a welcoming portal for esteemed guests, a strategic hub for trustee meetings, and a dynamic event space. Inside, our team delivered refined offices and suites tailored for university dignitaries, all while preserving the charm of the historic Walnut Street fa?ade. The primary entrance was repositioned to the south, facing Locust Walk, ensuring full accessibility through a shared motor court. Renovations included a new roof, restored original windows, and intricate decorative repairs, blending historic character with modern functionality. A new terracotta fa?ade on the rear and east sides harmonizes seamlessly with the original brick structure. Now home to the prestigious Perry World House and the celebrated Kelly Writers House, this transformation reflects Penn’s dedication to fostering knowledge and creativity. The project was recognized for Excellence in Craftsmanship in the $15M – $50M category, showcasing Target Building’s commitment to quality and innovation. We are excited to share the successful completion of a transformative renovation at Springhouse Innovation Park! In partnership with Beacon Capital Partners, we delivered a cutting-edge Life Science Amenities building designed to support the campus’s growing needs. This project involved the complete removal and replacement of the exterior wall system with new curtainwall and storefront systems, along with a full MEP overhaul—including new rooftop DOAS units, electrical switchgear, and a make-up air unit. The interior boasts a state-of-the-art fitness center, yoga studio, and locker rooms, while the first floor features a full kitchen, dining, and bar/lounge area for campus events. The second floor provides much-needed office space, training, and conference rooms. We’re proud to be part of revitalizing this dynamic campus and delivering a best-in-class amenity space for its tenants! Orleans Technical College, operated by JEVS Human Services, is a non-profit post-secondary institution in Philadelphia offering hands-on training in building trades. Their programs prepare students for careers in HVAC, Plumbing & Heating, Building Maintenance, Electrical, and Carpentry. We had the opportunity to present to students and faculty, discussing the growing demand for skilled trades. Target Building was happy to take part in the annual ACE Mentor Program of Greater Philadelphia Giant Jenga Tournament at the Simeone Foundation Automotive Museum! This event fundraises for ACE, a nonprofit that helps high school students pursue careers in architecture, construction, and engineering. It was a great night of networking, friendly competition, and some seriously nerve-wracking Jenga—we made it to Round 4!
