This month, we had the pleasure of hosting the ASSURE program from North Carolina State University at TARGAN. The ASSURE program focuses on providing animal science undergraduates with hands-on research experience, mentorship, and education in leadership practices—all centered around advancing sustainability in animal production. Led by Jacquelyn Moné, our Field Trials & Study Associate II and alumna of NCSU's Animal Science program, alongside Liz Turpin, PhD, MBA, Vice President of Bioprocess, the group had the opportunity to explore our facilities and engaged with our scientists and engineers to learn how TARGAN leverages innovative technologies to impact animal welfare and production across the poultry industry. The students concluded their day at TARGAN with a Q&A session featuring team members from various disciplines across the organization. This session provided insights into career opportunities and offered advice on navigating the field of animal production.
