#ICYMI - We are starting a new affordable housing community in Chattanooga, Tennessee called Bluestone Terrace. In partnership with Alabama nonprofit Deo Volente, Bluestone Terrace marks another significant milestone in our commitment to expanding quality, accessible housing for low-income families in the Southeast. This project features 64 newly constructed apartment homes, including 16 two-bedroom, 40 three-bedroom, and 8 four-bedroom units, thoughtfully designed with community needs in mind. Residents will enjoy a range of amenities, including a community laundry facility, meeting and media room, business center, and dedicated spaces for financial literacy and health and wellness education. As our President Jon Toppen said, “We are thrilled to bring Bluestone Terrace to the Chattanooga community. This development not only addresses the critical need for affordable housing but also provides supportive services that will empower residents to thrive.” Construction is set to begin immediately, with completion expected in late 2025. He has also held strategic, advisory, and business development roles with not-for-profit organizations and public/private investment firms, contributing to major projects such as Atlanta Housing’s Civic Center Redevelopment Initiative and the Lakewood Senior Housing Development in Daytona Beach. #ICYMI: Celebrating the Completion of Sycamore Heights As we continue our mission to provide quality, affordable housing, we take pride in reflecting on our work at Sycamore Heights in Jefferson, Georgia. In partnership with OneStreet Residential, we redeveloped this 64-unit mixed-income senior community with a focus on energy conservation and sustainability—earning certification under the EarthCraft Communities and EarthCraft Multifamily programs. Secured with 9% LIHTCs and private loans, this $15 million project features a fenced community garden, covered porch, movie theater room, fitness center, business center, community room with a kitchen, and free WiFi in common areas—all perfectly situated near downtown Jefferson and a community trail system. Reflecting on our past successes inspires us to keep pushing forward with innovative projects that empower communities and enhance lives.
