It's Trustee Tuesday! Mrs. Mandy Jackson attended Carrollton High School and graduated from Auburn University with a bachelor's degree in communications. She shared that her family, wonderful hometown community, and an exceptional city school system keeps them local to Carrollton. Mrs. Jackson is the owner of Jernijacks Tween Boutique and is an active member of the Sunset Hills Country Club Board of Directors. She currently serves as a member of the Tanner Medical Foundation Board of Trustees. Mrs. Jackson shared that serving on the TMF board helps her "be an advocate for Tanner in our community and beyond." ?? "Hospice care is a service line that is close to my heart. After working there for 14 years, I've seen firsthand the difference they make in terminally ill patients' and families' lives. It's Trustee Tuesday! Mrs. Salli Thomason attended Bremen High School and graduated from Auburn University with a bachelor's of science in business accounting (BSBA). She also earned her juris doctor (JD) degree from Mississippi College School of Law. "I was raised in Bremen and am a third generation 'Bremenite.' I moved back in 2011 after my niece was born so I could fulfill my role as the cool aunt," she shared. Thomason is a senior conflicts attorney at Seyfarth Shaw and is an active member of the Bremen City Council, serving her third term as Mayor Pro Tem. This is her first year as a member of the Tanner Medical Foundation Board of Trustees. "I am impressed with all the things the board has accomplished, and I want to contribute to Tanner’s ongoing success! Everyone in our region should be able to receive excellent health care from a local facility," she shared. ?? "All of the service lines are so important, but I’m particularly passionate about cancer treatment. One of my life-long best friends lost her 22-year-old son to a rare form of cancer in 2023. "In 2017, my mother suddenly became very sick and had to have emergency abdominal surgery. The excellent physicians and health care team at Tanner Health saved her life. She received the best of care at every level of her long recovery. It's Trustee Tuesday! Mr. Chris Elliott earned his bachelor's in business administration with a major in accounting from the University of West Georgia and is licensed in 38 states. "I attended UWG business school, married my wife, Jenny, who was a Bremen local and decided to start our life in the area," he shared. Elliott is the CEO of Caliber 1 Construction in Villa Rica, Georgia, and serves as a board member for the Rapha Clinic of West Georgia. This is his first year serving as a member of the Tanner Medical Foundation Board of Trustees. "I wanted to use my platform and philanthropic spirit to give back to a community I care deeply about," he shared. ?? "I am passionate about Tanner Health because it embodies a commitment to delivering cutting-edge medical services to communities that might otherwise face significant travel distances to access health professionals and specialists. This dedication to providing quality care close to home is vital for ensuring that everyone, regardless of ability to pay, has access to the health care they need."
