  • It's Trustee Tuesday! Mr. Alex Roush attended Carrollton High School and earned a bachelor's degree from Georgia Tech. He also received a master's in architecture from the University of Virginia. "My father, Chester Roush, moved to Carrollton in the 1950s to serve as the first Vice President of Sales for Southwire Company, and mother, Dot Roush, was instrumental in the development of the Art Department at UWG," he shared. Roush retired from his company, Alex Roush Architects, in 2023, and remains actively involved in the community. He is a trustee emeritus at the University of West Georgia and a trustee for the Wesley Foundation of Georgia Tech. He is a member of Northside United Methodist Church, Sunset Hills Country Club, Hanover West Neighborhood Association, and the American Institute of Architects. He currently serves as a member of the Tanner Medical Foundation Board of Trustees. "The backbone of Tanner's roots as a cornerstone of our community has always relied on basic fund raising. I enjoy lending a hand to this foundation of giving," he shared. ?? "The need for access to high quality health care for residents of west Georgia and east Alabama is as great now as it when Tanner was founded in 1949," he shared. "I am passionate about the Little Angels Endowment, which my wife, Susan, and I established in 2018. The Little Angels Endowment supports infant bereavement support services at Tanner Health.   • It's Trustee Tuesday! Mr. Tim Martin attended Douglas County High School and graduated from Georgia Tech with a bachelor's degree in industrial and systems engineering. He also received an MBA from the University of West Georgia. Martin shared that the job opportunities and quality of life in the west Georgia region keep him local. Martin is the president and CEO of Carroll EMC, and is actively involved with the Rotary Club of Carrollton and Carrollton Kiwanis Club. He currently serves as the past chair of the Tanner Medical Foundation Board of Trustees. "I believe in serving and helping others. I was asked to join, and I believed in what the Foundation was doing to help our community," he shared. ?? "Communities need caring and innovative healthcare in order to thrive. Tanner Health meets those needs. I’m thankful to be able to help Tanner be successful. Rural communities that don’t have access to healthcare cannot thrive," said Martin. "I’m most passionate about service lines and programs that meet needs in our local community, so that people don’t have to drive to Atlanta to receive top-notch and affordable healthcare," he shared.   • It's Trustee Tuesday! Mrs. Julie Parrish graduated from the University of Georgia in 1990."My husband Bill is a Carrollton native. He has worked for Southwire for the past 29 years," she shared. Parrish is a realtor for Metro West Realty and is an active community member. She is a member of the Vestry Board and the Children's Commission at St. Margaret's Episcopal Church. She previously served as the local director for the West Metro Board of Realtors, and as a board member for the Carrollton Parks and Recreation Department and women's shelter. She currently serves as a member of the Tanner Health Foundation Board of Trustees. "Tanner Health has a such a positive impact on our community. The strong support from the administration and the dedication of the medical staff makes it such a valuable asset to the west Georgia and East Alabama area. Serving on the board and acting as a liaison to the community is a rewarding experience," she shared. ?? "The fact we have all of the programs in the west Georgia and east Alabama area is remarkable. Mrs. Dena Adams-McNeish attended Oak Mountain Academy and earned her bachelor's degree in journalism and political science from Belmont University and an EMBA from Georgia State University. She shared that she was raised in Carrollton and has always appreciated the community-oriented nature of the area. Mrs. Adams-McNeish is the chief development officer of Verida Inc. and is serving as the fiscal year 2025 vice chair for Tanner Health Foundation's Board of Trustees. "Healthcare is what I do in my day-to-day role, and I love being able to be with a group of people who are passionate about healthcare as well," she shared. ?? "My family has a long-standing commitment to cardiovascular health and Alzheimer's disease research and treatment. Recently, I've developed a passion for improving access to resources for neurodiverse children," she stated.   • It's Trustee Tuesday! Mr. Patrick Yuran attended Central High School in Carrollton, Georgia. He holds a B.A. in Theatre performance from LaGrange College, an M.A. in Drama Education with an emphasis in Educational Leadership, and an M.F.A. in Directing: Stage and Film from University of Montana. He also has an Educational Leadership Certificate from Trinity University, International Baccalaureate Certification in Performing Arts, and Georgia State Certification in grades P-12. He shared that he grew up in Carrollton but moved away for almost 30 years. He came back home to serve as the Head of School at Oak Mountain Academy. Yuran is the president-elect for the Rotary Club of Carrollton and is actively engaged with various community organizations: Kiwanis Club, The Carroll County Community Theatre, The Carroll County Chamber of Commerce, and The Carroll County Educational Collaborative. He currently serves as a member of the Tanner Medical Foundation Board of Trustees. "I joined this board because of the personalized approach the foundation members take to support the many needs we have within our community. The intentional care of and the joy brought to all involved through the philanthropic process is unique to this foundation," he shared. ?? Yuran is passionate about both Tanner Women's Health and Tanner Cancer Care. "Tanner provides vital health care services to our community. Rural health care is important for several reasons including access, preventative health, economic impact, quality of life, and community support.
