???????????????? – The Tangipahoa Chamber was pleased to host Louisiana’s Secretary of Revenue, Richard Nelson, at our breakfast this morning at Oak Knoll Country Club. Secretary Nelson addressed the looming fiscal cliff, the phase-out of temporary taxes, the impact of being a state with a declining population, and Louisiana’s path to long-term competitiveness. Looking ahead to the upcoming special tax session, beginning November 6, he described the proposed reforms as a “significant suite of changes” that will impact everyone in the state. With lower rates and fewer exemptions proposed, these reforms aim to simplify Louisiana’s tax structure, helping us have a plan that is low, simple, and fair. #TangipahoaChamber #JoinUs
