I met?Dexter Cousins?for the first time a year ago when he visited Melbourne.?Nick Tang, Dexter, and I had an engaging discussion about the challenges facing the #Fintech industry and strategies for #retainingtalents. I vividly remember asking Dexter, "How can we retain valuable team members with limited resources?" He recommended Adam Grant's book, <Give and Take> to me, which provided valuable insights into setting boundaries within the company, recognizing givers/contributors, leveraging the strengths of takers, and fostering a culture of #generosity by being a role model ??♀? I eagerly anticipated meeting with Dexter again. This time, we had the opportunity to share our stories on his podcast, an experience I cherished. I believe Dexter's presence seemed to bring me luck - just a week after our meeting, I was honored as the #EmergingFintechLeaderoftheYear at the?FinTech Australia?#FinniesAwards! ?? ? ? I am incredibly honored to share that I have been awarded the #EmergingFintechLeaderoftheYear at the FinTech Australia Finnies Awards 2024! ?? This is a big recognition for myself and for the entire Tanggram team!! After receiving the award, I was taken to the photobooth for a short interview. They asked me, "What is important for this award and for this recognition?" This was the same question I asked Nick Tang four years ago when Tanggram first received these awards. Standing there, holding the trophy, I truly felt the honor and pride of our team’s achievements. It hit me that hard work must be recognized and encouraged for us to stay motivated on our mission ??♀? This morning, I took another look at #Trophy. It was a powerful reflection on the challenges we've navigated and the mission we are working on. A huge thank you to FinTech Australia for this prestigious award and for organizing such a fantastic event. It provides us the opportunity to reflect on our journey and reminds us of where we started. Thank you to my incredible team -- #Team Tanggram, judges, partners, friends and everyone who has supported and believed in our vision.
