As Lent, Ramadan, and Passover coincide this season, we reflect on the profound opportunity they offer for interfaith connection and understanding. Dr. Yehezkel Landau, a Tanenbaum Peacemaker in Action, describes this rare convergence as a threefold blessing—a time to honor our distinct traditions while embracing the shared values of renewal, justice, and compassion. As we reflect, we are reminded of these words: "Lent is a time for rediscovering and deepening our relationship with God, and one way we do this is by coming to know and love one another more fully." This season calls us to reflection and unity. May we use this sacred time to build bridges, foster respect, and join together in the spirit of peace. It is with deep sadness that we share the passing of Dr. Leonard S. Polonsky CBE, a long-time Tanenbaum friend, Board Member, and visionary leader. Leonard was deeply committed to Tanenbaum’s mission from the very beginning, and his generosity and leadership played a pivotal role in shaping our organization’s growth. His support of the Peacemakers in Action award has allowed us to provide honorariums to each new Peacemaker since 2008, ensuring that those working toward peace in conflict zones receive the recognition and support they deserve. Leonard’s impact extended far beyond Tanenbaum. As the Founder and Chairman of Hansard Global Plc and a founding trustee of the Polonsky Foundation, he championed initiatives in education, peace, and the arts. His legacy is one of profound generosity, wisdom, and an unwavering commitment to building a more just and respectful world. As we mourn his passing, we also honor his remarkable contributions. We invite you to celebrate Leonard’s life with us by exploring a tribute photo gallery, linked below. His legacy lives on through the work he so passionately supported, and we will always be grateful for his vision, humanity, and enduring spirit. https://bit.ly/4iKH1Fv #TanenbaumLegacy #PeacemakersInAction

"Amid the current administration’s recent?executive orders and their implications at work, we know that the need to promote meaningful workplace inclusion for employees of all faiths and none has not changed. In the past 60 days alone, our Workplace program has offered trainings on topics like addressing religious diversity at work, combating bias towards individuals of certain faiths, and navigating religious holiday accommodations throughout the year." Mark Fowler Despite tremors in the landscape around diversity efforts, we remain steadfast in our work to ensure employees of all religions and none are respected in the workforce, workplace, and marketplace. On #InternationalWomensDay, we celebrate the unwavering courage of women who dedicate their lives to building peace. One such leader is Peacemaker in Action, Yeny Gloribel Nolasco Quijada. Born and raised in El Salvador, Yeny has spent her life breaking cycles of violence—preventing at-risk youth from being pulled into organized crime, training communities in sustainable farming, and engaging law enforcement in peacebuilding efforts. For Yeny, peace starts at home. As she shares, “The woman is the first peacemaker that exists.” She reminds us that women are essential in shaping communities, nurturing future generations, and ensuring that peace is a shared responsibility for all. Today and everyday, we uplift Yeny’s voice and the voices of countless women working for peace, justice, and equity. Their leadership isn’t just important—it’s essential.
