Rooms - We are in same room Selecting "We're in the same room" prevents audio feedback on hybrid calls (i.e. when some participants are in-person and some are remote). Tandem will remember this setting for the rest of the day. Not a Tandem user? Sign up for FREE at https://tandem.chat.

Private rooms To lock a Room, use the three dots on the conversation window. There you can choose to lock or unlock the room. Your team will be able to see that the Room is locked, and if they click on the conversation they will not be able to join. A Room remains locked until everyone in the conversation leaves that room. Meeting Rooms Tandem will automatically create a Room for your scheduled Google Calendar meetings so that you can stay on top of your team's schedule and easily hold team meetings within Tandem. The Meeting Room will appear in the main Tandem window 10 minutes before the meeting is scheduled to start. Music Rooms Music Rooms allow you to play music for your teammates as long as everyone participating has Spotify premium. In order to participate in music rooms, everyone will need to integrate Spotify in their Tandem preferences. Not a Tandem user? Sign up for FREE at https://tandem.chat.

Rooms Rooms are most valuable for unscheduled, spontaneous communication: coffee chats in the morning, water cooler convos, silent co-working, a Room that teammates go to when they want help or feedback etc. All Rooms are visible and accessible to all teammates in your Tandem team, each teammate sees the same room list.
