2024 CAHF Nurse of the Year Tampico Healthcare Center celebrated our Director of Nursing, Kristianne Ong on receiving the 2024 Nurse of the Year Award from California Association of Health Facilities (CAHF) during their Annual Conference in Palm Springs. This recognition is a testament to her dedication, leadership, and commitment on delivering the highest quality of care to our residents. Kristianne’s passion for nursing goes beyond the call of duty. Under her leadership and months of tireless work, Tampico Healthcare Center became the 2nd skilled nursing facility in California to achieve an American Heart Association Certification. AHA is the world’s leading voluntary organization dedicated to fighting heart disease and stroke. This certification establishes an evidence-based framework for evaluating skilled nursing facilities based on the American Heart Association requirements for heart failure (HF) patients, including program management, patient and caregiver education and support, care coordination, clinical management and quality improvement. Kristianne demonstrates compassionate care for every individual and embodies the heart of our mission.
