Tampa Hispanic Heritage, Inc. (THHI) is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization founded in 1979. THHI serves as an umbrella for Tampa Bay Area Hispanic groups and other interested parties who want to share the rich Spanish language, culture and traditions with the community during Tampa's Hispanic Heritage Celebration. Each year Tampa Hispanic Heritage presents a diversified calendar of events that is educational, entertaining, and exciting. From the Mayor's official proclamation of the Hispanic Heritage month to the Inaugural Gala, from the Hispanic Leadership Class to the Annual Essay and Poster Contests, yearly festivities generate tremendous community involvement and excitement.

Tampa Hispanic Heritage, Inc.'s annual gala is coming up in September, at the start of Hispanic Heritage month. The goal is to bring people in the Tampa Bay area together to celebrate the region’s rich Hispanic heritage, while also raising funds for college scholarships for deserving Hispanic students. ?????????????The Hispanic Woman and Man of the year award are honored at this event. This is a lifetime achievement award that honors Hispanics who have contributed significantly to the success of our community. ?????????????Today, I had the honor of interviewing this year's honorees Andrea Gonzmart Williams, a 5th generation owner and operator of The Columbia Restaurant Group, business owner, philanthropist, and community member and Rafael Gonzalez, Esq., a partner at Cattie & Gonzalez, PLLC, and an active member on the University of South Florida's Latin Community Advisory Council.
