CW/TW: This video contains sensitive topics related to mental health. ? A survey commissioned by Tampa Bay Thrives in 2022 found that in Tampa Bay, 7 in 10 residents experienced at least one poor mental health day in a one-month period. Ten percent of respondents reported missing work, corresponding to 393,400 missed workdays a month and approximately 4.72 million missed workdays per year across the region. ? This month is #MentalHealthAwarenessMonth, which marks the beginning of our journey of peeling back the mask to show that you are not alone. Most everyone you meet has fought a battle or is facing something they may not feel comfortable discussing for fear of judgment. “If you know, you know” (IYKYK), builds upon the social media hashtag that speaks to those that have shared or lived experience. Whether they are on a journey to recovery or are in a support role, these personal stories of inspiration from residents across the region are aimed at destigmatizing the conversations around mental health and getting help. ? Stay tuned throughout the rest of May, to see members of the Tampa Bay community share their personal mental health stories. ? Learn more about our campaign and share your story: https://lnkd.in/ei43caBU ? Thank you to Diamond View - Creative Video Agency, for partnering with us on the launch of the IYKYK campaign. ? #IYKYK #MentalHealthAwareness #MentalHealth #TampaBay #StorytellingSavesLives Colony Reeves Our Children Have Rights

Working to strengthen mental health outcomes in Hillsborough, Pasco, Pinellas and Polk counties.
关于我们
Tampa Bay Thrives is a new nonprofit that will help people better address mental health and substance use issues with services like behavioral health navigation to find the right counselor and virtual urgent care for those who need immediate access and can’t wait for future appointments with local providers. The effort is set to begin this summer with a community pilot program in Hillsborough County, with plans to expand in 2022 into Pasco, Pinellas and Polk counties. Tampa Bay Thrives is an unprecedented collaboration of healthcare systems, hospitals, foundations and law enforcement agencies. Among them are healthcare leaders like AdventHealth, HCA Healthcare, Florida Blue and Tampa General Hospital; law enforcement agencies like the Pasco County Sheriff’s Office and Clearwater Police Department; charitable foundations like the Tampa Bay Rays Foundation, Bon Secours Mercy Health Foundation, The Mosaic Company Foundation, and the Dimmitt Family Foundation; and many other organizations.

Earlier this month, we had the pleasure of welcoming students from Sligh Middle School and Foster Elementary School back after the long post-hurricane break! It was heartwarming to see their excitement as they reunited with friends, dove into Feelings Jenga, and even got a chance to be featured on Good Morning America! Huge thanks to the Bullard Family Foundation for welcoming us and making these moments possible. ?? #MentalHealth #TampaBay
