GOING FOR THE GREEN: Earlier this week, members of TPA’s Planning and Development team accepted the Environmental Achievement Award from Airports Council International - North America (ACI-NA) for work on Phase 1 of the Airport’s Master Plan, including TPA’s Rental Car Center, SkyConnect Train, Main Terminal Expansion and surrounding roadway improvements. The series of projects is credited with removing millions of vehicles off TPA’s roadways and reducing carbon emissions. ?

TPA is a major economic driver for the Tampa Bay region and is the gateway to the west coast of Florida.

HONORARY COMMANDER INDUCTEE: Smitha Radhakrishnan, who joined TPA as the Executive Vice President of Planning & Development and Maintenance earlier this year, has been selected to participate in MacDill Air Force Base’s Honorary Commander Program. The 24-month commitment pairs civilian leaders from across the Tampa Bay area with Wing Commanders and other Base leadership to exchange ideas, experiences and grow their networks. As an Honorary Commander, Radhakrishnan will be immersed into every aspect of the 6th Air Refueling Wing's operation. This year's Honorary Commander program kicks off with an induction ceremony Nov. 7. Congrats, Smitha!
