Modular green ammonia systems enabling local production of low-cost, carbon-free fertilizers and renewable fuel.
关于我们
Grey ammonia contributes 2% of global carbon emissions. Talus Renewables supports a cheaper, cleaner alternative: Green Ammonia. We are proud to introduce the world’s first modular green ammonia system that enables local production of low-cost, carbon-free fertilizers and renewable fuels. Our technology replaces a costly and unreliable supply chain, bringing equity in a sustainable future for all.

Great news coming out of last week’s Green Ammonia Summit in Minnesota (www.greenammoniasummit.org) -- all to support the local farming communities and the industry next’s generation. Expanding local production of green ammonia will have a significant positive impact on local farmers including job creation, economic growth and agriculture resilience. We applaud the progress forward in Minnesota. A shout out to Elizabeth Burns-Thompson and our strategic partner Landus for sharing an important POV on the key elements needed to create more pathways for green ammonia projects. #GreenAmmonia #RenewableEnergy #SustainableFarming ? https://lnkd.in/gC4b-EZH)

Thank you Justin Norman and The Flip for the opportunity to be a part of this story and the great impact renewable energy can have on our global climate, farming communities and local economies. Through our partnership with Kenya Nut Company Ltd's Morendat farm in Naivasha, Kenya, we are locally producing green ammonia for this large east African agribusiness. Together, we are not only lowering carbon emissions with our local green ammonia production and supply, but we are also providing a new pathway for sustainable agriculture, economic stability and empowerment for farming communities in Africa. Check out the full episode link in the comments. #sustainablefarming #greenammonia #carbonfreeammonia #climate https://lnkd.in/gHTt_fYY
Africa has the opportunity to become a global leader in the fight against climate change AND create millions of jobs in the process. There is increasing demand for industries powered by renewable energy. Meanwhile, African countries have abundant access to renewable energy sources, a lack of legacy grid infrastructure, and the youngest & fastest-growing working-age population. Green industries present an opportunity to have a positive economic impact locally and deploy technology that has broader climate implications globally. Today's episode of The Flip is our first documentary in a series we're calling The Greenprint - our exploration of climate innovation across Africa - in partnership with Delta40 Venture Studio, Catalyst Fund & Africa Climate Ventures. In this episode, we visit with three founders building in Kenya: Bilha Ndirangu is the CEO of Great Carbon Valley, which is looking to bring several green industrial projects to Kenya. Duncan Kariuki is the CPO of Octavia Carbon, the global south's first direct air capture company. Hiro Iwanaga is the CEO of Talus Renewables, the maker of modular green ammonia manufacturing systems, whose first project was deployed in Kenya earlier this year. I've left the link in the first comment of this post to watch the full episode on YouTube ??

Thank you International Power-to-X Hub for including Talus Renewables' Vahid Monadjem on this dynamic panel and the opportunity to discuss the impact of localized #greenammonia production and our work in Kenya.
"Premiums for #greenfertilisers will not be paid by farmers". How is the production and trade of green ammonia and green fertiliser currently developing? This was the topic of last week's webinar "International perspectives on large-scale and decentralised production of green ammonia", hosted by DECHEMA. ? What is the difference between blue, green and grey ammonia? There is no difference in the physical product, only in the certificate. This certificate ultimately determines the value of the product. Last week we looked specifically at #greenammonia produced from renewable electricity. To open the event, Ammonia Europe presented the EU legislation regarding green ammonia and an overview of the differences between decentralised and large-scale production. One example of a large-scale project is the Coega project in South Africa, Hive Energy's flagship project. It aims to produce 1 million tonnes of green ammonia per year. Why the Port of Ngqura? Existing port infrastructure, available space for industrial facilities, access to seawater and #renewables potential. And there is a symbiotic relationship with a nearby salt producer for the brine.? ? In Chile, social and environmental assessments are particularly important. AustriaEnergy's ambitious plan is to produce the first molecule of green ammonia in 2030. Apart from a mining company in northern Chile, there is no domestic demand, so all projects are currently focused on exports.? ? In African countries such as Zambia, high fertiliser prices are already making green fertiliser economically competitive. With decentralised, small-scale plants, Talus Renewables can think in months rather than years, unlike long-term infrastructure projects, shown by its talusOne in Kenya.?? ? Nium, a startup founded two years ago, uses nanocatalysts and small-scale reactors to turn agricultural waste into fertiliser for farms, also in a decentralised, small-scale approach.? ? Thank you for the diverse and deep insights into these companies and projects! We look forward to continuing the discussion.? ? Many thanks to our speakers and moderator!? Marc van Doorn | President, Ammonia Europe (Keynote)?? John Nutt | Technical Director - Africa, Hive Energy?? Vahid Monadjem | Head of Africa, Talus Renewables??
