Our new research for Welch's Fruit Snacks looked at the highs (and lows!) of traveling with little ones during the end of the year. We conducted a survey of 2,000 parents with kids aged 5–12, who have traveled for the holidays with their child in the last year. ?Parents report being most stressed just over three and a half hours into their trip — but 12% said their stress peaks in the first hour. ?Where is this stress coming from? Parents said that keeping their kids entertained is the most demanding aspect of holiday vacation (64%). ?Dealing with temper tantrums (46%), trying to find bathrooms (43%) and hearing “are we there yet?” from the backseat (40%) were all found to be the top stressors for parents. Does it still take a village to raise a child? In our latest research for The Goddard School we took a deep dive into the makeup of today’s "villages" and explored what the modern-day version looks like for today's parents. Read the full findings here ?
It takes a village to raise a child. We’ve all heard the saying, but what do today’s parents really think? To find out, we conducted a nationwide survey of 2,000 parents of children six and under. Key findings include: ·????????81% believe it’s imperative to have a support system—a village— when it comes to raising their child. ·????????86% say they have a different type of support system today than their own parents did. ·????????Of those with a child enrolled in school or childcare (74%), 89% say it plays a big role in their village. These parents rely on their child’s school or childcare provider an average of 12 times per month for support. “Schools and childcare providers have not just an opportunity, but a responsibility, to offer their families support, guidance and resources to help both children and parents develop into the best versions of themselves,” said Dr. Lauren Loquasto, our chief academic officer. “We are committed to fostering a community where families feel supported and connected. Parenting is a journey, and while bumps and detours are inevitable, a strong village goes a long way to helping make the journey as smooth and rewarding as possible for the entire family.” Learn more about the survey and its findings here: https://lnkd.in/d59Y5DRM
