BABY BOOMERS | The majority of baby boomers love to learn new things, but they think they’re too old to actually do so, according to new research. 39% of Americans said that this is their busiest holiday season yet. A survey of 2,000 adults looked at how respondents’ winter social calendars have evolved from last year. Although many are feeling busier than ever, Americans are slowing down compared to last holiday season: on average, respondents will attend three gatherings this year, down from five last year. The survey also found that a third of Americans feel like they’ve been waiting a long time for the holidays this year (35%). When asked about which event they’d skip if they could, Christmas dinner topped the list in 2023, but more are inclined to opt out of New Year’s parties in 2024. TRAVEL | A new study has found seven in 10 Americans have had their travel plans go wrong within the past year. The poll of 2,000 U.S. adults who have traveled in the last 12 months found 46% have had flights delayed or canceled, 28% have lost their luggage, 15% have had their reservations changed without notice and 11% have had their personal belongings damaged.
