? Reflecting on an incredible first KNIT event yesterday! ? A big thank you for the invitation—it was fantastic to see Dr Vanessa Vallely OBE as always, using her platform to unite the city. Birgit Neu made the vital point: while these might feel like “dark days” for DEI, they’re also a time for innovation. DEI remains a powerful lever for driving business performance, and we must continue to embrace it. ?? The sessions were packed with value: ?? A thought-provoking discussion on the impact of AI on our industry, emphasising why ethical AI should be front and centre for in-house teams by Rukasana Bhaijee and Annie Wu ?? Emmajane Varley brought the MEI vs DEI debate to life, inspiring me to put my eMBA economics module to work and dive deeper into the data. ?? And those quick-fire questions to the amazing Mark McLane Engaging, insightful, and so much fun! As part of the networking, we were asked four questions: 1?? What is your most pressing DEI challenge? 2?? What’s the one topic you want to upskill in for your role? 3?? What’s one prediction for what we’ll be discussing a year from now? 4??
