  • This a perfect quick and easy dish for Thanksgiving if you need a little extra time to spend on the turkey thanks to @lowcarbmaven on instagram. Nothing is easier than dropping chopped veggies in a pan and letting the oven do the work. Roasted rutabagas are a great lower-carb potato substitute with an earthy sweetness and peppery tang. I am disappointed that the FDA did not approve sotagliflozin for glucose control in type 1s with chronic kidney disease and think there is a lot that needs to be learned about and discussed in this area. However, I am encouraged by all of the support and great conversations being had by the diabetes community around this issue. We will continue to advocate for access to the best diabetes treatments and can make a real difference when we work together.

?? Every signature counts! Sign the petition & join the movement to advocate for FDA approval of Sotagliflozin—a potential first ever oral medication for individuals with Type 1 Diabetes and chronic kidney disease. ?? Why This Matters: Despite advances, current treatment options for individuals with Type 1 Diabetes are very limited or non-existent, especially oral medications. Sotagliflozin, once approved, will offer hope for better glucose control, fewer long-term eye, heart, kidney, & nerve complications, and a reduced burden on patients and families. This life-changing therapy could be the first ever oral medication for T1D and it could make a profound difference in the lives of millions. ?? Sign now and be part of the change!
