Dear Valued Customers, We want to inform you about the recent strike that began on October 1, 2024, affecting East Coast and Gulf Coast ports in the United States. This strike, related to wages and automation, is likely to disrupt the flow of cargo from Maine to Texas. However, we want to reassure you that Taiyo America Logistics does not utilize these impacted ports for the transportation of our raw materials or finished products. Therefore, we do not anticipate any disruption to our operations because of this strike. Fortunately, there is no strike threat on the West Coast, where longshore workers signed a contract last year. While we do expect increased demand at West Coast ports due to redirected cargo, we do not foresee this demand exceeding their capacity. In fact, West Coast ports have already begun adjusting to accommodate the increase that started a few months ago.
