We Serve Those Who Serve

关于我们

Since its inception, Tactical Air Support (Tactical Air) has utilized innovative business practices to provide our government and industry customers the best value product. Instead of offering a single solution to meet a wide variety of training requirements, we believe it is more cost effective to match the appropriate support capability to the training requirement and pay only for what is needed. In addition to being an F-5AT (Advanced Tiger) Adversary commercial air provider, our talented and experienced cadre of aviators are also trained as expert consultants in a wide range of tactical, technical, and systems support areas. Our team of professionals is a “Ready Bench” of experts ready to provide long term or surge support for any consulting need. Our pilots average over 3,000 individual hours of tactical fighter time, are former Weapons School Instructors or Test Pilots, and have extensive civilian experience as well. There is no group more capable than the team assembled by Tactical Air! Put simply, we have built a business around providing our civilian and military customers world-class support at an affordable price while saving them precious material resources.

  • On any given day, our Advanced Capabilities & Expert Solutions (ACES) teammates across multiple directorates are delivering training and support on dozens of systems across various platforms throughout the DoD. To maintain our commitment to providing exceptional tactical knowledge and ensuring we’re always ready to answer the call, we actively pursue opportunities for collaborative learning. As Abigail Adams wisely noted in 1780, “Learning is not attained by chance; it must be sought for with ardor and attended to with diligence.” Recently, members of our Airworthiness and Hardware Training teams exemplified this spirit by traveling to St. Louis for a Simulation Familiarization event. This gathering, attended by industry partners, test and evaluation aircrew, and weapons systems experts, offered valuable insights into the development of future avionics systems—knowledge that is critical to preparing the fleet warfighter. These experiences not only deepen our expertise but also strengthen our partnerships, even allowing us to connect with industry partners outside of the event—like enjoying a St. Louis Blues hockey game together. If you share our passion for continuous learning and are eager to contribute to the Navy’s operational effectiveness, consider joining our team of experts at Tactical Air Support. • As 2024 comes to a close, we at Tactical Air Support reflect on a year of milestones, growth, and mission success. This year, our ACES (Advanced Capabilities & Expert Solutions) team of nearly 100 tactical experts traveled the globe, delivering in-depth training to front-line fighters and ensuring they maintain their edge in lethality. In Flight Operations, our world-class aviators, maintainers, and support staff flew over 2,200 flight hours and 1,600 adversary missions in our F-5ATs (Advanced Tiger), sharpening the skills of USAF, USN, and USMC fighter pilots. We also surpassed the 10,000 flight hours milestone and expanded operations to two new locations: Eglin AFB and Hill AFB, complementing our ongoing US Navy contract at NAS Fallon. Together, these sites provide high-end adversary support for F-35, F/A-18, F-15, and F-16 aircrews. Our Tech Dev arm of Flight Ops continues to integrate advanced avionics and tactical capabilities into the F-5AT, pushing the envelope for threat-representative training solutions. Our Tactical Air Logistics Network (TALON) achieved a major milestone by standing up its sustainment and distribution center in Ft. Worth, Texas. With the purchase of 55 Royal Saudi Air Force F-5s and over 1 million aircraft parts, we now operate the largest civilian fleet of F-5s in the world. By New Year’s Day, 32 of these F-5s will be in Texas, with the remainder arriving in early 2025. In Jacksonville, Florida our Aircraft Integration & Modernization (AIM) team finalized the F-5N+ Block 2 Engineering Design Review, completed the prototype installation, and accepted the first five F-5s from our Swiss subcontractor RUAG for conversion to the F-5N+ and delivery to the US Navy. None of this would have been possible without our dedicated team at Tactical Air and the trust of the U.S. Military. In 2024, we experienced record-breaking growth, adding 123 talented team members across all departments. We are also honored to be recognized by the Jacksonville Business Journal as: - One of the Fastest Growing Companies in Jacksonville - One of the Best Places to Work in Jacksonville Here’s to advancing the mission and taking on 2025 with the same focus, innovation, and excellence. Thank you to everyone who made this year unforgettable! The Tactical Air Support Team #YearInReview #TacticalAirSupport #FighterPilots #MissionReady

  • While "1-800-555-ACES" may be a fake number, it’s been ringing off the hook with calls for real-world support—and Tactical Air has been there to answer. As the DoD grapples with increasing challenges from complex software, hardware, and weapons systems, gaps in technical knowledge have become more prevalent. Throughout 2024, Tactical Air has risen to meet these demands. Our ACES tactical systems analysts bridged the gap between developmental engineering data and end users, ensuring the trigger-puller maintained the edge in lethality. With on-site, persistent support, we delivered Network Enabled Weapons University and customer-specific Crypto University training to an ever-expanding customer base. Additionally, we provided thousands of timely and relevant technical documentation updates for the F-35, FA-18, EA-18, E-2, and P-8 aircraft. We’ve even sent subject matter experts (getting ready to board an MH-60) halfway around the world to meet critical demands for training and support. This way, we can rest easy knowing that those on watch tonight—and every night—are at the top of their game. We’re always seeking talented, dedicated individuals ready to answer the call to action and provide the real-world support that is in such high demand. Exciting times at Tactical Air Support!! Yesterday we received two F-5E aircraft at our hangar at Stead Airfield in Reno, Nevada. It is the first 2 of 53 total aircraft that we will receive from our purchase from the Royal Saudi Air Force. They all are being transported via maritime shipping. These first two aircraft arrived at the Port of Savannah, GA, on 7 December, were craned off directly onto flatbed trucks, and then brought across the country to Reno. We have 30 more aircraft “on the water” right now that will arrive by the end of December. The final 23 aircraft will arrive in late February. The majority of the aircraft will be stored at our TALON facility in Fort Worth, TX. In addition to the aircraft, we will also receive 150 standard 40 ft. containers of F-5 parts, engines, and support equipment. Some of the aircraft and engines will be salvaged for parts, for both internal use and external sale. The best jets will be modified and added to our growing fleet of F-5 Advanced Tigers (AT), that are currently supporting DoD contracts.?Some of the aircraft and engines will be salvaged for parts, for both internal use and external sale. Fun Times at Tactical Air Support.

  • As the year draws to a close, our ACES teammates nationwide and globally continue to deliver outstanding fleet support across all sectors. Within the last month alone: - Both our System Configuration Set (SCS) and Hardware teams traveled to Australia, providing training to the Royal Australian Air Force’s 1st and 6th squadrons. - Over a dozen ACES Weapon System Experts (WSE) went to Ridgecrest, CA, collaborating with engineers to research changes and modifications to aircraft SCS and hardware in support of NATIP chapter development. - We have continued to expand our hardware course offerings in response to increased fleet demand, including support for additional new avionics systems. Recent recipients of our exceptional training include the Marines of VMFA-224, VMFA-112, MALS-41, and employees from Boeing's Service Life Modification (SLM) program. - Our Network Enabled Weapons (NEW) Team has broadened their offerings as well. In addition to ongoing NEW training for Marine F-35 squadrons, we recently conducted our first round of NEW U training with VFA-97 at NAS Lemoore. To our TacAir team, your dedication and daily efforts are truly impressive. For our industry partners and customers, we look forward to strengthening our role as a force multiplier. And for those who share our commitment to supporting the fleet warfighter, we’re always looking to grow our team of experts.
