A Lean Six Sigma Program is an entity’s, whether private or public, approach to adopting the Lean Six Sigma methodology as its problem-solving methodology of choice. It usually consists of training, certifications, and projects completed in a strategic manner and deployed across the entity. A program also has two primary models centralized or decentralized. A centralized model is where there is a group of specialized individuals whose full-time role in the entity is to work on a selected number of strategic projects utilizing Lean Six Sigma to improve a pre-determined segment of the entity’s performance.
