SCOTT SANDERS INTERIORS | “In anticipation of this year’s Palm Beach Kips Bay Decorators Show House, we are looking back at our 2023 Family Room, titled “Palm Beach Modern”. I was inspired by the movie ‘Palm Beach Story’, a 1942 comedy starring Claudette Colbert and Joel McCrea, and wanted to pay tribute to iconic Palm Beach finishes like rattan, Lucite, wicker, and chrome. We grounded the room in a serene blue palette and used fabrics like the Pierre Frey geometric print on the chairs to echo the movement of the waves. We loved working on this room and are so proud of how it turned out. Steven Harris Architects LLP | “In our Warren Street Apartment, a center corridor connects the front-facing public spaces with the bedrooms at the back. The corridor is lined with antiqued mirrored panels that bring light from both ends of the apartment into the core while concealing storage space. MKCA | “We are loving the warm palette of materials against the starkness of recent snows at our Watershed House in progress.
